Our Attorneys
Michelle B. Baker
Michelle Baker’s law practice interest began at an early age. Ms. Baker started working in law firms, including the District Attorney’s office, in high school. Her experience includes boutique civil litigation firms and large insurance defense firms, where Ms. Baker was involved in complex litigation matters, including high-profile business litigation, cross-border fraudulent transfer actions and numerous multi-million dollar business disputes.
Ms. Baker formed Baker & Cerretani, LLP, in 2002. Although the firm’s name has changed, she has continuously focused her practice on representing employees in a broad range of legal issues, including disability discrimination, unpaid wages and overtime, pregnancy discrimination, meal and rest period violations, unlawful retaliation, and workplace violence issues.
Ms. Baker is a member of the Business Law and Labor and Employment Law sections of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the California Employment Lawyers Association. She has conducted numerous seminars for various business and professional organizations on business and employment law issues.
Ms. Baker lives in the San Diego area and has spent time speaking to children on the importance of education. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation. Ms. Baker previously sat on the Board of Directors for Youth Tennis of San Diego, which has provided thousands of children a safe haven for after-school activities.
Ms. Baker received her B.A. in Law and Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego.
Kelsey Aliabadi
Kelsey Aliabadi is from the San Fernando Valley and has lived in San Diego since 2015. She graduated from San Diego State University with degrees in Political Science and Communication and holds a certificate in Public Law. She continued her studies in law at California Western School of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 5% of her class.
Ms. Aliabadi has worked for the San Diego District Attorney and in several areas of the law, including family and insurance subrogation. She brings a wide variety of experience and is passionate about representing employees in all areas of employment law.
